Greater Lafayette Area NaNoWriMo community

Well, as of about five seconds ago, I officially won NaNoWriMo for the first time ever. And I'm not even finished yet. I'm pretty damn stoked.

I want to keep going, but I tell you what, it's almost 5:30 in the morning and I'm bushed. I'm gonna sleep for like, ever. Then I'm gonna finish my novel.

How's everyone doing? I hope you're all closing in on 50k. Even if not, getting some writing done still makes this NaNo a winner. Huzzah!

Kind of quiet around here.

How is everyone doing with their word counts? I'm woefully behind, but I'm hoping to write like mad and be caught up by Sunday. I haven't run out of plot yet, which is a first for me, so who knows? Who plans on going to the write-in tomorrow? I'm hoping to make it, but at this point, again, who knows?

Just thought I'd try to drum up some people here. As you might be able to tell... I'm procrastinating! :)

Oh, also, has anyone been to the Write or Die site? I swear to God it's gonna save my word count! You should definitely check it out if you need an extra kick in the pants to get writing. http://www.lab.drwicked.com/writeordie.html

Right now, I'm giving the "phase system" a try, but my characters aren't cooperating, and by cooperating, I mean accepting a name. Bleh.

Anyone in the area doing NaNo this year?

It was pretty quite here last year, maybe we could do some local word wars or prompts.
